Roseville College Commissions Dr Michelle Walker as 11th Principal. A significant milestone in the life of the College and its community.

Roseville College has marked an important new chapter with the commissioning of Dr Michelle Walker as its 11th Principal, continuing the College’s long tradition of educating girls within a community of learning and belonging, shaped by its Christian foundations and shared values.

On 26 February 2026, students from Prep to Year 12 joined staff, families, College Council and distinguished guests for a whole-school commissioning service, presided over by The Most Reverend Kanishka Raffel, Archbishop of Sydney. The service marked a significant milestone in the life of the College, bringing together generations of the Roseville community to honour both its rich legacy and its future.

Featuring joyful music, prayer and Bible readings, the ceremony reflected the shared faith and values that have shaped Roseville College for more than a century. A particularly special moment was the presentation of symbolic gifts from students, parents, staff and alumni, representing learning, hope, love and heritage. These gifts reflected the deep care and shared commitment of the Roseville community and offered a warm welcome to Dr Walker as she formally commenced her leadership.

In her address, Dr Walker spoke of Roseville College as a community grounded in Truth, Love and Hope, and shared her hope that every girl would experience a deep sense of belonging and grow with courage, purpose and compassion. She affirmed her commitment to walking alongside each student as she develops into a young woman of character, ready to contribute meaningfully to the world.

Dr Walker brings extensive experience across primary, secondary and tertiary education. Since joining Roseville College in 2021, she has held several senior leadership roles, including Deputy Principal, Director of Staff Services, Development and Community, and Head of Inclusive Learning. Her leadership has strengthened the College’s focus on academic excellence, student wellbeing and professional growth.

A graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Dr Walker holds a Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Research, Master of Education, Bachelor of Arts with a Diploma of Education, and an Advanced Diploma in Business. Her academic research has focused on educational policy, family partnerships and teacher development.
