New Head of Junior School Commences

Release Date: 18-Jan-2011 | Go Back

The freshly appointed Head of Junior School at Roseville College, Mrs Tanya Vaughan, is ready to welcome Kindergarten to Year 6 girls back to School next week.

Mrs Vaughan, previously Principal at Northcross Christian School, says she is looking forward to starting the new school year at Roseville College.

“My personal and professional journey is one of learning new things,” she says. “I am constantly grateful for the opportunities I have to do this every day. I’m especially excited about sharing the ‘journey of learning’ with the young people in our Junior School community as school gets underway.”

After two decades as a professional educator in independent education in Australia and New Zealand, Mrs Vaughan has strong leadership experience and is an innovator in areas of educational and curriculum development, enrichment through extra-curricular opportunities and community partnerships.

Mrs Vaughan agrees that each child is unique, with their own strengths and purpose.

“Children respond when they are given opportunities to explore their potential in an environment to which they love to come each day, to a place where they feel safe and are encouraged to learn, grow, play and connect with others.”

Mrs Vaughan’s appointment follows the retirement of Mrs Julia Elsey at the close of 2010.
