The Enrolment Process

1. Complete an online enrolment application

Application for enrolment can be made by completing the application form online. An application fee (currently $220) is payable when submitting the application, and is non-refundable. During the application process, you will need to upload a number of documents, as follows:

• a copy of your daughter’s full birth certificate
• proof of Australian citizenship/residency (if applicable)
• a copy of your daughter’s latest school report (if school age)
• a copy of your daughter’s NAPLAN Report (if applicable)
• two written references – these can be from a member of clergy, a teacher, a close family friend or a colleague (for example), and act as a character reference for the student and family.

Overseas students  on a 500 (student) visa will be required to complete this online enrolment application first, and will then be contacted by the Registrar for further information. Please refer to the Overseas Student Enrolment section for further details.

2. Offer of a confirmed place 

Once an enrolment application form has been received and reviewed, an offer of a confirmed place may be made, subject to a place being available within the year group requested. If an offer of a confirmed place is made, you will have four weeks to accept the place and pay the non-refundable Acceptance Fee (currently $1,000). At this point, your daughter’s enrolment at Roseville College is confirmed. 

If, at the time of application, a place is not immediately available for the year group requested, the Registrar will contact you about placing your daughter on the waitlist. Please note that students on a waitlist are ranked by date of application, but that the College reserves the right to prioritise applications of relatives of alumni, children with siblings already enrolled and daughters of Anglican clergy. 

3. Finalisation of place 

Payable two years prior to commencement at the College, a provisionally refundable Deposit (currently $1,500) is requested to finalise your daughter’s place. Provided that the student commences her studies at Roseville College in the year offered and completes Year 12 at the College, this deposit is refunded, without interest, when all accounts are settled. If your daughter does not commence at the College, or does not complete Year 12 at the College, then this will not be refunded.

4. Interviews

For students who are seeking enrolment at Roseville for Years 8–11, an interview with the Principal will be required as part of the enrolment process, and any offer of a place will thereafter be at the Principal’s discretion.

Interviews of students who are enrolling into the standard entry points of Preparatory, Kindergarten, Year 3, Year 5 and Year 7 are conducted in the year before they commence at Roseville. This is an informal interview and forms part of our orientation process, as a way of starting to know each girl before she starts. It also provides an opportunity for girls and their parents to ask questions that are important to them.

5. Orientation

In preparation for each new intake and where opportunity allows, orientation events are held at the College. These events provide new students and their families an opportunity to meet others in the school community – fellow new students, some of the present student body and staff. These events help new girls adjust more quickly into their new school environment, assimilate into the student body, navigate around our campus, and better understand the ‘ins, outs and opportunities’ of school life.
