Senior School Overview
Roseville College Senior School endeavours to provide a challenging academic
environment where girls of wide-ranging abilities are supported and nurtured.
We offer a broad based liberal education with a balance of humanities, natural
and social sciences, the arts, technological studies and a rich and diverse
co-curricular program with an emphasis on sport and the performing arts.
Roseville College Senior School is a place not of mechanical instruction, but a school of character where the common requisites for all our girls and teachers are human feeling, a sense of humour and the spirit of intellectual and moral adventure. It is this tradition of uncompromised quality and scholarship that all Roseville College girls enjoy.
The middle years of schooling
Roseville College appreciates that the middle years of schooling (7 and 8) are
critical in terms of the girls’ development and with this in mind we have
reviewed both national and international literature relating to these most
crucial years of schooling. As a result of this literature review, Roseville
College has implemented a number of measures including home rooms and student
surveys which focus on the transition from a junior school setting to a senior
school setting.
Special Programs
Furthermore at Roseville College, we offer a Learning Support program for
students in Years 7-10 who may be experiencing some difficulty with their
learning. At the other end of the spectrum, apart from extension work that is
offered to students in class, Roseville College also has an acceleration
program for those students who have a unique ability in a subject area.
Roseville College also takes part in many state and national competitions
across a range of subject areas.
