Library Redevelopment

Release Date: 21-Nov-2011 | Go Back

The Library is about to experience a radical redesign. It is one of the most important spaces in the school and it will be transformed into a “learning hub” of the school. The Library will become a place where our girls are trained in critical thinking and are formed into wise users of information in the 21st Century.

Whilst redesigning the Library, we are taking the opportunity to “face-lift” and extend existing and new facilities.  Hinemoa, a space used for major exams and day-to-day activities will be air conditioned, along with the Library.  A new Kirkham Room will be built into existing roof space and will adjoin Hinemoa with moveable doors.

Our school leaders, our Year 12s, will have will have their Common Room redesigned and enlarged.  It will become an inviting space where these young adults can study, socialise, relax and prepare for life after school.  Adjacent to the Library we will be building a two-story Academic Care Centre which will house our Learning Support Staff and will have separate learning and enrichment spaces for our girls.
