Information Resource Centre
The IRC is an integral component of Roseville College that incorporates both
library and IT facilities for the Junior and Senior Schools.
The Centre provides a vast selection of literature, with a number of quiet corners to encourage a love of reading.
Well resourced with an excellent range of research material, the IRC also offers the most up-to-date technology, including:
- 44 PCs networked and linked to the internet for use by Junior and Senior School girls
- 1 Mac computer for specialised software
- 3 video editing suites
- Data projector
- Colour laser copiers and printers
These IT facilities supplement the three computer labs incorporating 30 PCs in the Senior School and six computer pods in the Junior School.
For girls in the Senior School, the Centre provides an ideal venue for independent work and research, whilst classes are also timetabled to expand girls' research skills while undertaking individual projects under the guidance of teachers and Librarians.
The IRC also incorporates several seminar rooms, a Careers Room, Counselling and resource rooms, and it is open and supervised each day from 7.30am until 5.00pm for girls to take advantage of its excellent resources.
